There are many different types of music and most of the time the music expresses what the author or musician is feeling or a personal life experience that has occurred recently or a common one that happens to everybody.
Rock- has taken sometimes a calm feeling or it could be fast and loud to symbolize anger and frustration. Most of the older bands from the 60s, 70s, and 80s are rock bands. There are not many rock bands at all today, mainly because most of the members from these great and talented bands have passed. LONG LIVE ROCK!!!  | Pop- is the most powerful and well-known music style of this generation. There are many musicians such as Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, and Justin Bieber. They have most of the attention of kids and teens music because they have a fast, loud sound to them. They are also about some things that they are going through right now such as relationships, breaking relationships, and wanting to start relationships. That is probably the #1 reason why kids from 10-25 listen to this music. It is just as good as rock and many people enjoy listening to it.  | Rap- also takes a huge part of the kids and teens time for listening to music. Half of the teens songs are rap songs. Some artists like Eminem, 50 cent, Lil Wayne, and Kanye West are hitting the charts with their extremely fast wording. They get paid for their talent though. A lot of people can't speak that fast including myself. I don't understand even half of the words that they are saying but they make it sound really cool. Most teens in high school and middle school have at least half of their iPods and MP3 Players filled with rap or pop.  |
